Small hydroelectric power generation uses the flowing water in rivers and irrigation systems to generate electricity, does not require large dams, has a low environmental impact, and has been recognized by the International Energy Agency (IEA) as one of the most environmentally friendly methods of power generation. Despite its small size, it has a stable output and can operate 24 hours a day, making it suitable for use as a base load power source.
