The award ceremony for the "4th Eco-Pro Award" (sponsored by the Sustainable Management Promotion Organization) was held at Tokyo Big Sight in Koto-ku, Tokyo on December 9^th, and A certificate and a prize were given to President Jun Kuwahara of ELIS (Okayama City), who won the Excellence Award. This activity is highly evaluated by businesses and consumers in the domestic market, and by commending projects such as products and services that incorporate excellent environmental consideration, aim to further develop and promote these activities. The purpose is to contribute to the creation of a sustainable society. (snip) In the past, city gas and LP gas-related companies have received the Encouragement Award, but ELIS is the first to receive the Excellence Award. The award was given to the small hydroelectric power generation system "WaterWeco®" manufactured and sold by ELIS, which generates electricity with high efficiency even under low head and low flow rate.
